Kommisjonens strategi for Arktis lagt fram

I meddelelsen står det bl.a. at et mål er å "fremme af multilateral forvaltning af Arktis, herunder af en bred politikdialog, på grundlag af FN's havretskonvention". Når det gjelder oljeutvinning står det bl.a.: "Work to strengthen the foundations for long-term cooperation, particularly with Norway and the Russian Federation, facilitating the sustainable and environmentally friendly exploration, extraction and transportation of Arctic hydrocarbon resources.
